Ranthambore National Park

Ranthambore National ParkSituated at a distance of 145 km from Jaipur, Ranthambore National Park is one of the finest ecological destination and a very adventurous place for you to visit from Delhi. Home to some of the most fearsome predators in India, the jungle of Ranthambore offers the opportunity to explore the diverse wildlife that the country is proud to possess. People come here to see tigers, panthers, wild cats, hyenas, jackals and marsh crocs. At the lakes in and around this huge park you will also have the opportunity to see a large number of birds many of which belong to exotic species.

Ranthambore is a protected area and no hunting expedition is allowed in the forest. If you are an animal lover and the zoological garden in Delhi has failed to whet your appetite, all that you need to do is come here at Ranthambore and see the exotic wild animals roam freely in the forest with all their majestic splendor. Not often you will find tigers of such variety as you will normally find in India. Get a taste of the wild here in Ranthambore. This place is the last stronghold of a dwindling species and the with proper efforts we can salvage this rare but magnificent species.

The biggest advantage of visiting Ranthambore is its accessibility. The railway station of Sawai Madhopur lies on one of the busiest rail rout, i.e. the Delhi-Mumbai rout. If you wish to travel by air, all that you need to do is catch a flight to Jaipur and then travel to Madhopur by car. This will take no more than a couple of hours.

The best time to visit the place is between the months of October and June. In the winter, you will find the weather extremely pleasing for a trek through the park. In the summer the heat is intense in this part of the country and you will find it rather uncomfortable under the sun but if you are a hardcore big game lover you will surely have the pleasure of looking at some of the most exotic animals by lazing around the waterholes.

Tourism in Ranthambore is very well developed and you need not be afraid of touring in the wilderness as there are some world class hotels in the place that will provide you with facilities that you will not forget in a hurry.
